Milbank Elementary School

This project includes a 84,800 SF Elementary addition to the existing Middle School/High School. The school will include a new gymnasium, music room, cafeteria, library, offices, and kindergarten-fifth grade classrooms.

Southwest Minnesota State University Library

This two-phase project began with extensive renovations to major areas of the 2nd-5th floors of the library in addition to the entryway, sidewalks, landscaping, and exterior precast. We remodeled the hall, stairs, and lobby into open, modern spaces and added clerestory glass to the roof, which provided natural light into the building. Construction schedules were organized to accommodate student traffic and relocation of library materials.

Ortonville Public Schools

Through a combination of renovation, demolition, and addition, every inch of the existing building was remodeled to some degree. This included new classrooms, science and art labs, a commons area, administration spaces, and a full replacement of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems. The project was completed in several intensive phases. Additions were built during the school year and existing buildings were remodeled during summer breaks.

Lakeview Schools

Hasslen coordinated with subcontractors in order to complete the construction of this new pre-K-12 school on time within the constraints of a tight schedule.

Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School

Hasslen Construction worked with the architect to implement a cost-saving measure that brought this large-scale project within the scope of the district’s budget. The project included classrooms, art and science labs, an auditorium, music rooms, commons areas, a fitness center with locker rooms, a gymnasium, a kitchen, and an athletic complex with seating and facilities for football, baseball, and softball.
